Fancy Dress💃
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS MAMBO NO.5”. Yesterday morning I woke up so excited for our Waitohu School Fancy Dress! It was being held at Nga Purapura 6:30 till 8:00.
After school I asked my mum if I could get ready in my Daisy Duck costume but she said it was way too early. You know when ever you get really excited about something but it takes so long for the time to go by. I was waiting and waiting and then the clock ticked to 5:45 , I started to get ready and get in my Daisy Duck costume. It included a: bow, yellow tights, purple t-shirt, mermaid shoes, white shorts and a white tutu! When I got there all my friends were there in their awesome costumes. Giorgio was Donald Duck, Nevaeh (L) was Minnie Mouse and Nevaeh (G) was Mickey Mouse.
The first parade of costumes were the little ones who don't go to our school yet but may be coming to our school in a year or a couple of years!
The first classes 1 and 11 did the Jiffy Mixer. After that 2 and 10 did the Bad Hair Day.Then 7 and 8 did the Gumboot Dance. After them 5 and 6 did Virginia Reil. Then it was our turn. “ LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS MAMBO NO.5. We did our dance moves and finished then it was time to get your family member. I got my brother Hunter. He had no idea what to do. Then 3 and 12 did 5,6,7,8. After 3 and 12 did their dance my friend Mauatua brung me up for their dance.
Then everybody was finished their dances. All of us were hot and flushed. Parents and kids walked around handing out vanilla ice cream. We got given our ice creams ate them up and then talked with our friends.
This was my last year doing the fancy dress and it was the best year. But hopefully if I have a grandchild or child when I'm much older. I will come and watch the next fancy dress.
